Cat walks, movie screens, award shows, or big wig events – these are all locations where you’re sure to see amazing women with amazing hair. Celebrities take style and fashion to the next level and recent celebrity events have been no exception. Take a browse through these beautiful examples of lovely locks that are trending this winter season. You’ll find a look to be inspired no matter your hair length, texture or shade!

Jessica Biel

Mrs. Timberlake sure knows how to rock long hair and some stellar bangs! These straight, blunt cut bangs are kept rounded and soft so they blend well with the long wavy layers. The light brown color has subtle highlighted accents to make this look totally glow.

How to Style:

1. Start with clean dry hair and apply some heat protective serum throughout your tresses with your hands.

2. Use a large barreled curling iron (1 ½” or slightly larger) to grab pieces of hair and curl. Wrap the hair around from the mid-shaft up to the roots, then slowly click the ends into the iron. You don’t want to leave the ends in the iron too long or you’ll get more of a spiral curl than a wavy effect.

3. Use the same large curling iron to quickly smooth and roll under your bangs.

4. Run your fingers through your hair to break up the curls and create that flirty loose wave.

Recommended Products:

Moroccan Oil has awesome anti-humidity properties so it makes a great choice as a heat protective product. They have two oil treatments, one for fine hair and one for thicker coarser hair so you can choose the right version for you.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Long oval faces look fabulous with voluminous waves and forward framing bangs. Hair with natural wave that is of medium thickness would be a great fit for this hairstyle.

Tip:

Sleep with your hair up in a twisted bun. When you wake up, remove the bun and your hair should be set into soft ribbon waves. So easy!

Anne Hathaway

I must admit that I was originally not a huge fan of her crazy short hair, but Anne has been sporting this super cropped pixie and I love it more every day. Hair is kept soft and girly by having the perimeter textured and piecey. Wearing the hair forward and down instead of spiked up also helps lend femininity to the cut.

How to Style:

Pixie haircuts are so easy to style. I think that’s why they call it a pixie because you really just need to throw some fairy dust on your hair and you’re ready!

1. Use your fingers to arrange wet hair forward on top and down in the back so it lays down smoothly.

2. Allow hair to dry.

3. If you want to add some subtle definition, add some styling cream or pomade and run through with your fingers in the same direction the hair is growing.

Recommended Products:

Use a shampoo and conditioner that adds tons of shine. You don’t have much hair when it’s this short so really make the most of it. Try Dazzling Shine Shampoo and Conditioner to add a mirror like finish to your hair. Follow up with Privé’s Grooming Cream to add even more shine as well as add subtle texture.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Round and heart shaped faces are best designed for this pixie. Fine to medium thickness of hair is ideal for this fresh faced style.

Tip:

If you’re dying to try something new and different from the cubicle clones at work, go under the scissors and try this cute trend.

Charlize Theron

A fabulous actress that’s also known for incredible hair! Her medium length blonde hairstyle is simple and gorgeous. Layers are kept long and tapered to help create a diffused feeling around the shoulders. Longer layers also keep this hairstyle sleek instead of over-textured and choppy.

Charlize Theron Straight Blonde Style

How to Style:

1. Apply smoothing and de-frizzing products to towel dried hair.

2. Grab your blow dryer and a paddle brush and get to smoothing and removing moisture from your strands. Try to keep the air blowing down to the ends of the hair shaft to increase smoothness and decrease frizz.

3. Spritz hair with a few sprays of shine enhancing product then blow dry the ends with a round brush to create a soft flip.

Recommended Products:

Try the Smooth Down line from Redken when you’re in the shower to really help strands stay hydrated and smooth. For an awesome shine spray, try Fekkai Glossing Shine Mist. It has an ultra lightweight feel and leaves hair looking luminous.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Round faces as well as faces that have wider cheekbones will be balanced out with this soft and sleek hairstyle. Straight hair that is fine to thick is ideal for this style.

Tips:

Not a natural blonde? Not to worry! Alternate your highlighting services with a root lift to blend in your roots and save on some cash.

Kelly Rippa

The famous co-host has been making you laugh with your breakfast for years. Be inspired by her chic updo the next time you want to glam up your look. A center part helps add drama with hair being pulled back into a full and shapely bun. It’s a great polished hairstyle that is actually pretty easy to pull off.

Kelly Rippa Blonde Hair in Low Glamorous Bun

How to Style:

1. Blow dry your hair as straight and smooth as possible.

2. Part hair down the middle and slick it down and back into a tight ponytail about two inches above your neck. You want to place the center of the bun right in the back center of the head.

3. Tease the base of your ponytail slightly then roll and smooth pieces of hair over and pin into the elastic.

Recommended Products:

You want to keep a dramatically sleek hairstyle like this locked in place, so make sure to use a strong hairspray. Mop C-System Firm Finish Spray is super strong and is environmentally friendly, too!

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Heart shaped faces will look fabulous with this super classy hairstyle. This slicked back and straight texture would be easiest to create if you have straight hair naturally, but even heavier textured hair strands can pull it off.

Tip:

Hair extensions have come such a long way. Not only are they more affordable, but there are so many more custom colors and shades to choose from. If your hair just simply isn’t long enough to create a certain updo or style, invest in a good hair piece to take your look to the next level.

Beverly Bond

This hot bond girl sure knows how to look stunningly asymmetrical. It’s almost like wearing two different looks at once and this trend is really hot right now. Some stars are shaving the sides of their heads, but you can also achieve this cute style by simply slicking your hair back.

Beverly Bond Asymmetrical Style

How to Style:

The fun part of shaving half of your hair off is having your styling time cut in half!

1. Start at the bottom section of hair and curl with a 1” curling iron. Keep dropping down sections of hair and curling until you’ve curled the whole side of your head.

2. Leave the curls as they are or you can run your fingers through them a little bit to break them up.

Recommended Products:

For a more defined curl use a stronger hairspray like Big Sexy Hair Spray and Stay. Or if that seems too intense you can try their Spray and Play for a lighter hold.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

This hairstyle is great for all hair types. Thick hair is ideal. All face shapes look amazing with a more asymmetrical cut.

Tips:

Too scared to get buzzed? Instead of shaving your head, slick hair back, twist it tightly, or even try braids. You’ll get fun and different textures with each variation.

Cameron Diaz

This celebrity sure can wear her hair short or long. This super cute bob is wispy, girly and super fun. The soft edges help the hairstyle stay flirty and add movement. Long sweeping side bangs help frame her face and keep with the soft theme.

Cameron Diaz Short Cute Bob

How to Style:

1. Use lightweight products that can be sprayed on so you keep as much body in your hair as possible.

2. Use a small round brush to blow dry hair sleek and smooth.

3. Finish up with a lightweight hairspray for some hold.

Recommended Products:

Root Amplifier by Privé is great at creating volume at the roots, shape at the ends and won’t weigh hair down! It’s a lightweight spray that has tons of nourishing herbs in the ingredients.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Faces that are round and heart shaped are amazing for this short bob. Thin, fine hair can be a curse but can feel flirty and full with this super cute hairstyle.

Tips:

Don’t overwork your hair. Meaning, don’t kill the movement and body your hair has naturally with a flat iron or curling if you don’t have to. A style like this should be kept simple and slightly whimsical, so just stick with a blow dryer and minimal products that won’t weigh your hair down. This is especially important for girls with fine hair.

Selena Gomez

Brunettes have more fun? If you’re Selena Gomez you do! This super adorable wavy hairstyle is a fabulous example of medium length hair done right.

Selena Gomez Wavy Dark Style

How to Style:

1. For a more unconventional way to create this wavy look; part hair down the center and sleep in medium sized braids overnight.

2. Wake up, unbraid your hair and brush through. Fun and easy!

Recommended Products:

Love the name of this product – Coiff Magnifique! It’s an ultra-light finishing cream by Frederic Fekkai that helps add luminous and shiny touches to your hair. Apply it with your fingers in the morning after you’ve taken out your braids.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Square shaped faces commonly look best with a center part. The angles help diffuse the square shape and add balance to the face. The thick waves add volume on the side so narrower faces would bode well with this style as well. If your hair is naturally wavy and on the thicker side you have the perfect hair type for this look.

Tips:

Just because you want to wear a center part doesn’t mean it will look the most flattering on you. Consider your face shape and where your hair wants to part naturally. Fighting with where your hair grows on its own is tiring, so try to embrace what is most harmonious and it will make your life so much easier.

Keira Knightley

Headbands and hair accessories are all the rage right now and Keira’s soft, messy texture makes this updo simply adorable. The front is twisted into a loose braid that is secured in the back with pins. The rest of the curly textured hair is pinned up also and crowned with an interesting red crown. This hairstyle is a great example of how to think outside of the box with your style.

How to Style:

1. Start with dry hair and spray a flexible hold spray or texture spray throughout your strands to add some grit.

2. Loosely braid a horizontal section of hair right above your forehead. Use your fingers to pinch it and mess it up slightly.

3. Tease the rest of your hair slightly then gently pull it back and pin at the neck. Pin multiple pieces of hair so you get almost a faux pixie appearance.

Recommended Products:

Use a flexible hold hairspray like Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Touchable Weightless Hairspray to add slight hold as well as a gritty texture.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Heart and round shaped faces look best with all the hair pulled back away from the face. If you have a long forehead or more of an oval face, you may want to leave some bangs down to add balance. This hairstyle is awesome because it works with most hair types, especially fine hair that is naturally curly.

Tips:

If your hair is on the longer side, secure it at the neck in a few small ponytails before pinning. This way your hair won’t be as apt to fall out and offer more security.

Jennifer Lopez

Love this super chic, laid-back ponytail? Make it yours! A few waves and some teasing and you’re a center part away from this awesome low ponytail classic. This hairstyle is perfect for heading into the office or a date night after work. It’s perfect for girls who don’t like wearing their hair down and want a little elegance.

How to Style:

1. Part clean dry hair right down the middle.

2. Tease the back crown area of your head slightly to create a little boost at the root. Smooth it over with a bristle brush.

3. Softly pull your hair back into a low ponytail and secure.

4. Use your bristle brush to gently backcomb the ponytail to add volume to the hair.

Recommended Products:

Add a touch of luxury to your hair with Kerastase Chroma Cristal. This high end product has exceptional ingredients to nourish hair and add incredible shine.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Round, heart or square shaped faces will be able to wear this elegant ponytail. Hair that is naturally straight or wavy are the best candidates for this particular style.

Tips:

Play up your makeup. A simply ponytail like this can look very understated. Make it office and date night appropriate by playing up your eye shadow or lips so it looks like you’re making an effort and not just rolling out of bed and pulling your hair back.

Jessica Alba

This sexy hairstyle is created with loose waves and a killer ombré hair color. The dark roots give her an edge while the soft blonde ends add contrast. The curls are kept touchable and movable as opposed to tight and stiff. Rock this special look out on the town for sure!

Jessica Alba Loose Waves and Ombre Color

How to Style:

1. Part your hair far on one side and brush through hair to detangle.

2. Use a deep waving iron to go through hair and create wave.

3. Tease the roots near your part to create some volume and height.

4. Flip your head upside down and spray your entire head with hairspray.

5. Flip back up and scrunch to add a soft and diffused effect to your hair.

Recommended Products:

Add some shine to your hairstyle with Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray. It has a medium hold, smells great and offers long lasting hold with no stickiness. Fabulous!

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Oval and square shaped faces would look wonderful with this full and wavy hairstyle. If you have thicker hair that has natural wave you’re set. If you have straighter hair you can still pull it off by using the waving iron.

Tips:

Oftentimes we want to wave a magic wand and have any hair color or style we want. Have patience and set goals with your hairstylist to achieve the perfect color and look for you. If you want a big change, most times the safest way is to go gradual each time. Just remember that some things take a journey and not a snap of the fingers.

Emily Blunt

Textured twists and knots are accented with soft tousled pieces falling around the face. This super fun and unique hairstyle looks almost effortless. It’s a great style to try with long or shorter hair if you want it pulled back, up and away from your shoulders.

Emily Blunt Loose Texture Twist

How to Style:

1. Curl the top section of your hair with a 1” barrel curling iron to create a wavy texture and clip it up.

2. Create two or three small ponytails with the hair that was left down. Make the ponytails right at the neck in a horizontal row. This will be your foundation for pinning the remaining hair.

3. Coil up your ponytails into small buns and secure with bobby pins.

4. Drop down your curled top section and twist it back in random ways to create more texture. Pin them into the buns for hold.

Recommended Products:

Goody is an awesome brand to buy elastic hair ties and bobby pins.

Best Face Shapes and Hair Types:

Round and heart shaped faces would look great with this pulled back hairstyle. Any hair texture can achieve this effortless look.

Tips:

It always helps to do a hairstyle run through before the actual night. Practice makes perfect, so do a trial run a bit before your party or event so you’re not stressed and fighting with bobby pins the hour of.
