“I’ll be the first to admit that the thought of getting a new hairstyle totally scares me. Hair can make or break your look, so why mess with a good thing? The question really is, how sure are you that you what you have is a good thing? It’s easy to get used to what we see in the mirror everyday and forget to update our look; if you think maybe that’s the case, here are four signs you may need a new hairstyle…
1. Your hair looks the same NOW as it did in your high school graduation photo.Unless you’ve just graduated high school, chances are your hairstyle should have evolved from what was in style ages (or even just a few years) ago. If you’ve had the same hairstyle for 10+ years, it may be time to shake things up a bit with a new ‘do. Styles have changed and there are plenty of ways to try a new hairstyle that’s a slight variation of what you already have without committing to a full makeover. Long straight locks, for example, can be freshened up with some long layers, and a shorter hairstyle can benefit from something as small as a bang trim. Talk to your hairstylist about how to transition your current look into a slightly newer, fresher ‘do.
2. Your mother/sister/BFF have all asked recently about your hair.If the gals around you like family, friends or co-workers have recently asked about your hair or even tried recommending their stylist to you, they may be trying to subtly send you a hint! Most women may not be as blunt as to come out and say “hey, you need a new hairstyle”, but they will let you know in other ways. If you’re starting to get recommendations for a new look, it’s probably time for you to get one.
3. Your hair is just NOT cooperating. One telltale sign that you’re in need of a new hairstyle is that your hair just won’t cooperate with you. Whether it’s grown out in odd ways, is difficult to style or the only way you can wrangle it is in a ponytail, there are definitely signs of when your hair is in need of a cut, and a new hairstyle. If your locks are starting to frustrate you more than please you, see your stylist and talk to her about getting your mane under control with a new look.
4. You have “old lady” hair.Aging gracefully is a beautiful thing, but if you’re still sporting a beehive and can barely find anyone with your hairstyle, chances are it’s long gone. Take a cue from friends, family, celebrities and, of course, photos here on Latest-Hairstyles.com for some inspiration on what’s current and what you may want to try for a new look.
Sometimes simply getting a fresh CUT is all you need to liven up your style! Learn the surefire signs you really need a haircut here. Enjoyed this post? Please take a second to share with your friends:Retro Pompadour Gone Modern: 3 Ways to Get The Look →
