The stars went all out for the Golden Globes this year, and we weren’t let down in the hairstyle department!
Fishtail FeverWe love this gorgeous braided headband that falls into a side Fishtail braid. Lucy Liu looks fabulous and fresh, with a bit of an edge. A braid is great way to add a touch of tomboy flair to an overall girly look. The hairstyle looks great dressed up or down so be sure and try this look out the next time you want to stand out.

Step One: Prep your foundation. A great braid is best achieved with day two hair. If your hair is too squeaky clean it may slide out and not stay where you want it. If you’re in a bind, simply spray sections of clean hair with a medium hold hairspray and then brush through to help add some grit and texture to your strands.
Step Two: Split it. Use a comb to part hair to the side, approximately over the center of one of your eyes. Start at the part by the front of your face and start French braiding your hair towards the farthest ear and all the way around to the opposite side of your neck. You should now have a braided crown all the way around your head and be holding a ponytail of hair on the lower side of your nape.
Step Three: Use your braiding skills! Split your ponytail into two pieces to start the Fishtail braid. Wrap small pieces of hair towards the center of your sections and continue all the way down the ponytail to create that boney effect. Secure with an elastic band.
Step Four: If you want to add a little more texture to your braid, use your fingers to slightly rub your Fishtail braid. The friction will create a fun messy touch to your style.
Stellar Products:Products that do double duty are awesome to keep in your arsenal. Try Moroccan Oil’s Luminous Medium Hold Hairspray for texture, hold, and incredible shine. You can use the spray before you start braiding and then again at the end to lock in your look and create a stunning shine.
Awards season is JUST beginning! Stay tuned for more red carpet inspiration over the next few weeks. In the meantime, get even more celebrity hair-inspired here.
